When it comes to health, prevention is way better than cure.
What we do now and the way we live now, is going to be the biggest predictor of how we are in 20 years’ time.
Think back 20 years, has that time gone by pretty quickly?
Many people wait until they have chronic ongoing illnesses before they really think seriously about their health.
But when we are sick it is the hardest time to start making healthy lifestyle choices, and if we are older, may be too late.

When we are sick, we can only think about one thing….getting well again! When we are well, we can imagine 1000 things we would like to do. It’s way better to be well.
With mental health it’s the same. We now know from the science that the state of our mental health is not just random, its strongly affected by the way we live, how we think, how we process past events, how we socialize, and finding the right supporters/mentors in our life. These are all things in our control that we can change, to make life better now, and to also get the benefits later.
Good mental health is not just about the absence of mental illness, it’s having a mind that is open, flexible and resilient and knows how to live well. When we have that we can be our best self.
